The Non-Negotiable Rules

One Page Only

This is absolute. Even candidates with 15+ years of experience must fit everything on one page. No exceptions for MBB.

Education First

Unlike most industries, consulting resumes lead with education — especially for candidates from target schools. Include:

University name, degree, and graduation date

GPA if 3.5+ (some firms have a hard 3.5 cutoff)

Relevant honors, scholarships, and activities

Study abroad or exchange programs

Reverse Chronological

Every section must be in reverse chronological order. No functional or hybrid formats.
